I'm so excited!

I've been working in a smelly ol' call center, lately... and that was fine and well... up until they said "Lets see how we can make our employee's lives a little more miserable... I know! Lets take away their right to have pen and paper at their desks!" ... Needless to say, I was now no longer allowed to draw between calls. That'd break any artist's hearts... and my co-workers ((God bless their kind hearts!)) are always looking out for me, and they're like "Josie! You're still young! You still have hope in your life! Get the hell out of here! This job will take your soul and spit on it!"

So in my panic, I went to my real employer, which is Kelly Services Placement Agency, and told them exactly what was up! I was all like "Look here, I'm a young artist, and Animation is my trade... though I need to pay the bills, I can't keep living like this! its Career Suicide!" ... And wouldn't you know it, my Manager at Kelly Services happens to have been one of the Co-Founders of the Saint John Art Center! She was all like "Josie, I know EXACTLY where you're coming from! I am of the creative field as well!" She was honest and told me that, with the recession... I'm lucky to even be working at all... as they have plenty of clients who can not be placed, for lack of work. BUT, she suggested that I consider going Part Time, instead!

Now, with my working part time, my life sucks a lot less! I'm now able to put in some volunteer work for a Production Company named Hemming House Pictures... which works out well. I've done some Freelancing for them in the past, and they very much like my spunk... Currently, I'm also working on Storyboarding for a music video! Who knows, I may end up working for these guys, officially, someday! And I really hope so.. it would be my DREAM JOB!
